On October 1, 2003 KANA Gliwice launched the vocational development scheme: "Innovative Methods of the Use of Information Technology in Vocational Development of Teachers and Coaches". The project was granted financial support by the European Union, as part of the Leonardo da Vinci Action Programme. The partners of KANA are: Christliches Jugenddorfwerk Deutschlands (Germany) and the University of Tampere (Finland). The aim of the project is to devise innovative methods of the use of information technology in vocational development of teachers and coaches. The use of new technology will enhance the level of IT education among teachers and therefere will have direct impact on the quality of teaching in schools.
